Already an ideal family destination, Branson, MO is making it that much easier to appreciate all that the great outdoors have to offer. As first reported late last year, residents and visitors of the Ozark area have a whole new mountain attraction to look forward to, and it’s development is finally in the works. The unique concept of a thrilling mountain coaster built into the steep hillside that runs along Highway 165 is currently being made a reality, with developers hoping for a summer 2016 grand opening.
Riders will experience the mountain terrain like never before as they start with a scenic, elevated climb up the mountainside before gravity steps in to navigate their open-air cart around 5,000 feet of twisting and turning track. The highest speeds will hover around 25 to 30 mph, with an approximate elevation change of 350 feet for the duration of the ride. Though probably not for the faint of heart, everyone can still rest assured that the design will come well-equipped with advanced safety features and a hand brake that allows riders to determine just how fast they wish to go.
Aquatic Development Group, Inc., known across the world for creating attractions that have a flair for the dramatic, was chosen to help design and construct the Ozark town’s first exhilarating mountain coaster. A great deal of Branson visitors come to be a part of the natural environment that is loved and fostered in the region, and the addition of this coaster, along with future plans to add even more outdoor adventures to the developing plot of land, will further solidify this to be one of the best places to encounter Mother Nature at its finest.
