There may have been many reasons that prompted you to make the move to Branson, Missouri: a new job, quality of life, or even the opportunity to live in a place with four seasons!   Studies have shown, however, that one of the most popular reasons for making this Ozark Mountain Village your new hometown is the small-town appeal that comes with big city entertainment! Branson is known as the Live Entertainment Capital of the World, and the quality of that entertainment is second to none.

If you have only recently moved here, you may not know which are the “hot” shows, and as many shows are transitory in nature, you may miss the opportunity to see them before they are gone forever. So, we’ve compiled this list of the top Branson shows just for you; see them first, then work your way through the rest!

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction

The only show with 32 horses, a few pigs, and a buffalo performing in it, this spectacular extravaganza also includes dinner! During the summer, this Branson entertainment show is held every night of the week at the Dixie Stampede Theater at 1525 W 76 Country Boulevard in Branson.

Acrobats of China

Circuses with animals have fallen out of favor with the general public, but this circus of divine acrobats is tops with Branson visitors! Featuring some of the most limber and flexible men and women we’ve ever seen, this is one show you may want to experience more than once!  Held at the Yakov Theater at 470 MO-248 daily.

Legends in Concert

It’s only right that this show dedicated to the denizens of rock is held at the Dick Clark American Bandstand theater at 1600 West 76 Country Boulevard. If you love music, you’ll love this show! Featuring tributes to everyone from Elvis Presley to Taylor Swift, this show has something for everyone!

The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama

In 1907, a novel called Shepherd of the Hills was written, bringing attention to Branson and the people of the Ozarks for the very first time. Today, the play derived from that novel is held at The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead and Outdoor Theater at 5586 MO-76. This is one show that should not be missed!
